Please tell me someone here got the "3AM" pun
The first thing my So said this morning when I read my text from overnight after seeing it was sent around 3AM was "ha, 3am- how funny".

Sorry if this has been brought up but I just got power back after 2 days of darkness from Fay

7. It was L.A.M.E.
With all the buildup, it would have been nice if he had sent the text at an hour when his supporters were likely to be AWAKE. Yes, I get the joke. I just don't think it's very funny.

And all the buildup ..... for BIDEN???? Yeah, that's change we can believe in. Or not.

21. Sour grapes? Hardly.
But Biden was no big surprise, so why the 3 AM text message?

By the time I got up around 7 AM this morning, I saw it on CNN before I ever saw the text message.

I suppose you're one of the "no criticism allowed" types. Suck on it yourself.

8. I did! Told hubby before he went to bed it would be a 3am text
he didn't get it so I explained it to him. He doesn't follow every single story and relies on me to fill him in on details.

16. Oh I didn't even catch that!
I saw when I woke up this morning that I received my text message around 3:00am, and I just thought that it was a weird time to make that announcement. I didn't even put two and two together.

That's GREAT!

18. I didn't get it either, but I like it
Even though my SO woke me up and scared the daylights out of me "I think I heard your phone go off"

On a more serious note, they also avoid any chance of creating havoc with the email system by sending it out at that time

22. It made some Clinton supporters angry. So you'd better hope Democratic politicians and talking
heads who've been saying it was just a coincidence are successful in convincing them of that, because if it was meant as a jab at Clinton, it was an incredibly stupid, adolescent joke.

Which of course would appeal to the adolescent Clinton-haters here.

But I believe the people who are saying it had originally been planned for 7 AM, and the news leak pushed it forward.

Since I'm planning to vote for Obama, I don't want to believe people in his campaign would be so stupid and adolescent as to mean this as a joke at Clinton's expense.

so what does that say about the original ad and Clinton's campaign?
