1. Yes, they will. A good number may blow their brains out, in fact.
Joe Biden is going to help Obama win election, but he's also going to help him govern after Inauguration.

Great pick by Barack Obama, great Todd quotation fielded by a great DUer.

Hiya, mzmolly.

12. Though he won't be pulling the strings like Cheney
Biden will be an incredibly powerful vice president.

20. Yep. Joe knows his way around the Senate as well as anybody and
a good deal of Obama's legacy will be determined on that Senate floor.

I like the idea of Biden marshalling resources and ideas for international policy, too.

24. no he won't
Obama has stated that he willrun the executive, not the VP. Hopefully, he will will go back to the old position of figurehead that a VP should be.

2. he totally called what the McCain camp statement would be.
and now Kelly O'Donnel is on..it is the usual stuff about "Biden has been one of the harshest critics of Obama's foreign policy abilities, blah blah blah", in other words going straight to Obama instead of Biden.

6. He sure did! And he added, if this is the best they got...
It's nice to see a smartly run campaign. I've been passionate about Democrats for sometime, but frustrated with the strategy. So far, so good.

4. And that the first attack on Biden
Edited on Sat Aug-23-08 12:58 AM by Sugarcoated
is his criticism of Obama's lack of experience to be President, then they must not have a whole lot to go after him on. Aside from a blip in the '88 election, he's pretty clean . . . aside from his gaffs over the years - but hey, McCain is a gaff machine.

13. a McCain supporter on CNN actually said that this would make McCain choose Mittens,
Ha! I hope so. Biden vs Mittens debates would be gold, and we probably could find many more quotes that Mittens had on McCain than Biden had on Obama.

How would Mittens counter Biden.

The fact is McCain is 72. People are going to give his VP pick extra scrutiny.

26. They would have been terrified if he'd chosen Clinton. But Biden is the best of the non-Clinton
choices. Todd's right about that. The polls show it. (And also showed Clinton would have been best.)

They spent millions on a propaganda piece called "Hillary: The Movie." They got to dust off all that old Vince Foster and the-Clintons-were-smuggling-drugs and the Clintons-kill-all-their opponents bullcrap.
