Gasp, stand frozen in shock for a moment, feel at one with the whole surprise texting thing, tell the dog "oh my god he picked Joe Biden" and then go to bed.

agreed.

The thing is, there is no way any campaign is going to keep one of the biggest political stories in the world leak proof.

IMHO, the text thing is a great gimmick, designed to gin up enormous interest (which it did) and to provide the campaign with a big GOTV weapon in November.

I still find it odd that there is no official confirmation.

Maybe Obama approved the leak or is happy with the way the coverage played out. That's what I want to know.
