I think he tries to keep himself from getting involved in the trappings of Washington and is definitely a family man. It will be a big change for him to have to attend social functions so much, but he would be classy. His family is so neat, too.

Ah, yes! Biden is good!

12. I think that says a lot about the guy.
He's been in the Senate since he was 30 years old and has never cashed in on any of the sweetheart deals that I'm sure have been thrown at him. There is nothing wrong with being rich and being in the Senate, but an honest man shouldn't get rich in the Senate.

So, no buddies on Wall Street.

38. Yeah, the "Mansion" crap about Obama's house cracks me up, too.
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 11:00 PM by IWantAnyDem
It's a nice house, don't get me wrong, but you can get more house about a mile from my house in the Chicago suburbs fopr about half the price Obama paid.

You'll get a bigger lawn, too.

The difference is his 98 year old house is in the city in a less than upscale neighborhood and my five year old house is in a suburb where I ride the train for 39 minutes in and out of the city every day.

Now if Cindy McCain were buying a home in Chicago, she'd be Gold Coast all the way, or a new condo in many of the buildings close to the Loop with a view of the lake.

Compare that to McCain's ranch being on the cover of Architectural digest.... what a ridiculous comparison.
