Look at all the attacks on Obama
In the last few days, righties have accused Obama of not helping out his impoverished half brother in Kenya, of having close relationships with terrorists (Ayers), of saying that China is better than the US, of equating the US war with Iraq with that between Russia and Georgia, of getting dirty foreign money from Palestinians and a Nigerian fund raiser, and they continue to raise questions about his birth certificate.

All these attacks came within the last 2 or 3 days, and it's likely there are more to come. Isn't it time that the left hit as low as them? The high road does not work, and I pray the Obama campaign recognizes that.

2. I agree. And I DO think that's starting. (I also think the right is beg. to get very nervous.)
That Bush has struck a deal on a "timeline" with Iraq is meaningful. Someone goes to Bush and says, look, we have to give the people a timeline, if we're gonna win in November. Do something. Is that the way it happened? I'm thinking yeah...that's the way it happened.

(not that McCain would have to fulfill any such timeline...their way out is that "conditions on the ground have changed") But throw some people a lyin' bone, and they'll chew it.

3. There's a specific reason for all of this shit being manufactured in the press right now.
Doesn't take rocket science to figure out who would want to slander him now, and why.

4. Seems to me the last 2 to 3 days show Obama's campaign does recognize it...
...since Wednesday, the McCain camp has been in damage control over HousingGate, and Obama was The Man all day on TV. Next week, we'll completely dominate the news at the convention. It's looking good.

5. Oh, stop it. The only person this set of bullshit attacks has bothered seems to
be you.

In case you haven't realized it Obama's choice for VP and McCain's lack of knowlege about his own houses have dominated the coverage for the last three days.

Of course they are going to smear him, it's all they got.

McCain is toast - they are already hammering him for using his POW status as a crutch

There was a vet on Olberman tonight who brought up PTSD and the fact that McCain never says anything about it....No one survives what he did without a mass case of PTSD.

He's done.

7. Not that I'm a believer in cheap polls
but if you go by what's been coming out of them over the past week- the attacks seem to having a similar effect to what happened in 2004.

11. The country wasn't bankrupt in '04. The religious right still had the country
by the throat - We hadn't been in Iraq this long.

Watch what happens next week.

many if not most voters don't behave that way in presidential races.

15. This money/housing thing - the cluelessness that McCain has shown is true about every
single aspect of his person and his campaign.....

The plan of attack will be his cluelessness and lack of empathy. Mark my words on this.

It's the arugula argument biting him on the ass for real.

If it IS romney, who is worth 200 million, watch for his net worth added to McCains' to be multiple ads....

He's about due for a PTSD outburst, too. Tragic, but that will end it for him.

8. Housing Issue has backfired
Sorry, but I think we made too much on the housing thing. I started seeing main stream stories today about Obama/Rezko/Ayers. Now what we want - seeing Obama linked to any other shady characters. We have enough with Wright/etc. Also, UofIC is releasing the paperwork next week on Obama/Ayers.

McCain is a good counter-puncher. They came back too quick with a response and ads. I think they already had the ads made and ready to go. Just waiting for Obama to open that door. And we did, and I think long term, this hurts Obama more than McCain.

Thankfully the VP announcement and the convention will erase it from minds.

We have got too much real stuff on McCain to focus on the housing issue.

"Our minds" ... sure, uh-huh. ;)

McCain is a very rich, sick old man who has nothing to run on. He's only dented Obama by nasty, false accusations.
Obama is now hitting back -- the Bad Ship GOP is finally going down for good. THANK GOD.

You guys are just appallingly see-thru these days.

16. Not when hundreds of thousands are losing their houses
Pointing out McSame has houses he doesn't even know about hits home, big time.

No pun intended.

People are really starting to be sick of obscene displays of wealth, and ostentatious lifestyles, with the economy the way it is.

How many houses the guy owns *is* a real issue. It points out just who is the real elitist in this election..
