Do you see my point? If we know who the VP choice is, we'll know where the Secret Service is (after the VP choice is given Secret Service protection, of course).

But absent that information, we have no way of knowing where the Secret Service is. By "we" I mean me, you, everyone at DU and FR and Martha Stewart's message board, and every media outlet in the world.

I saw SS about a week before, they just a well put a sign board on, they show up like a space alien in a small town. I saw these black Suburbans and guys hanging out on the riverfront walking trail dressed like they just came off the golf course talking into their sleaves

So the ABC report was apparently wrong about that.

Might still be Biden. Probably is.

But CNN also just mentioned the "extreme disappointment" that will be felt by Clinton supporters.

That's an understatement. I like Biden. I'd rather have him as the nominee than Obama, though I'd of course much prefer Clinton.

But Obama is the nominee, and the party is divided, and his choosing anyone except Clinton as his running mate will just divide it further.

If it's anyone but Clinton, we are in trouble in November.

I've been checking Google News for any confirmation of the ABC story, too, and there's nothing.

Doesn't seem likely that Secret Service would be visible only to ABC. The story was wrong.

Again, he could still be the VP. I just hope not, for the sake of our party, since I don't think any ticket but Obama/Clinton has much chance of winning. I wish the polls didn't make it look that important to have a unity ticket, but they do.
