Biden is a loose cannon....
and a loose cannon is EXACTLY what we need. Time to take the garbage out.

I can't wait till he tears McBush a new one.

Law & Order. Those 2 were my favorite cop pair-- I can still recall the moment that I fell in love with their good cop bad cop routine-- it was this episode where they were interrogating a guy who trafficked in illegals and basically dumped them all in a shipping crate with no facilities. Green was really pissed off and really pushing the guy and when the guy's lawyer came by, she said "Why don't you put a muzzle on him?" and Briscoe totally deadpans, "We tried. He keeps chewing through him."

I just feel like they are a good combo. I can't wait till I see the one two punch! :D

And Biden's hair looks much better, right? You expect people to take you seriously when you make childish remarks like this? I thought the Democratic party was the made up of the sensitive, pc type. You are a detriment to your party.

20. Biden has the worst kinds of baggage for this year's campaign though.
The Iraq war vote, and the bankruptcy "reform" bill. And with the economy as fucked as it is, his bowing down to the credit card industry might actually be treated worse than his kissing the ass of the war machine.

Joe could easily pass Senate Confirmation for a cabinet position. I'd rather not have him on the ticket and have mudslinging for the "baggage".

23. He's not running for Prez, though. Those issues are of lesser importance for the VP slot.
Not that they won't be an issue. Just not so important. I don't like the IW vote, either. I hate it. BUT I love Biden the person, and it's hard to find someone who DIDN'T vote for the IW, except for a governor or state representative.

Edwards let Cheney treat him like a child in that 2004 debate and he was NEVER tough enough on Bush. Biden kicks Bush's ass every day in the Senate so I would expect some good hatchet jobs from him on McNopoly. Woohoo! :)

25. Yes he is
Rush and the republicans already have lots of audio/video/etc ready to go on Biden. He has said several things that may come back to haunt us. The Indian 7-11 comment is on youtube. Calling Obama a "clean" African American. Also, when he ran in 1988, he had a campaign commercial about why you would want someone inexperienced as president.

Couldn't we have done better?

30. Rush has ZERO room to talk about racial slurs...
he laughed when a caller called in to say that her daughter thought Obama looked like Curious George, just recently he called Obama the affirmative action candidate, and even more recently he called Barack "little black man-child."

31. Well, the 7-11 clip was a gaffe no doubt, but you can see that he means well.
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 08:45 PM by ChimpersMcSmirkers
I'll continue with the with meme. The clean argument is going to upset who? African Americans? When the presidential nominee is African American? It was, I grant you, not a good soundbite, but Biden is solid in his support of minorities. Biden does need to learn some discipline in his speaking, but I think that Obama's folks will shepherd him ok.

edited: The 7-11 clip was from 2006. Obama's campaign knows about this and will have planned accordingly.

You will see that, if he is the pick, that it was a good call. This campaign is going to get ugly, more ugly then I think most people realize. Obama's campaign will be an active participant in this, and Biden will be an asset.
