My in-depth studies of Dem schedules tomorrow has revealed the dark horse VP
Obviously, Obama isn't going to announce his choice until tomorrow morning. The schedule undeniably points at one guy: Dick Durbin.

Durbin is in Illinois tomorrow...Obama is appearing with his VP tomorrow in Illinois.

THINK ABOUT IT; ILLINOIS IS DURBIN'S HOME STATE! WHY ELSE WOULD OBAMA CHOOSE ILLINOIS TO ANNOUNCE???????111!!!eleventeen!1!

What makes Durbin a good VP candidate?
-About 95% progressive. Let's see you guys bitch about his positions compared to the other names out there (well, ok he panders to the great state of Illinois on ethanol, but other than that)!
-Looks like a typical white guy- easy for other typical white guys to rally behind
-Loyal to Obama and the party
-Willing to play the attack dog
-Well-liked by other Dem politicians
-Very popular in Illinois- Illinois has plenty o' electoral votes

Yeah, yeah...Ok. I love Dick Durbin. If you're "special" and didn't figure it out, it's :sarcasm: (and wishful thinking). I'm very proud of both of my Senators.

2. Won't work
Can't have the Prez and VP from the same state. But he is a good guy and would make a good VP for someone else.

7. Yes, actually, you CAN have both the pres and veep from the same state

It just makes them ineligible for all electors from their own state.

5. IT's NOT unconstitutional
it would just make them ineligible for all 21 Illinois electors.

Constitutionally, they could still do it, though logically it would be pretty fucking stupid.

4. Okay, I know it was a joke, but no way could it be Durbin Constitutionally
If he picked Durbin, they would be ineligible for all 21 Illinois electors:

AMENDMENT XII

The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;...

9. just uncomfortable with that term - I mean, if I said, "he's a typical black guy"
that would bother a lot of people too, and rightly so

and no matter what pic you referred to as illustrating a "typical black guy" many would still be offended

not trying to make a big deal about it, but you can see my point right?
