All this excitement just revving up to go into the convention. He has managed to dominate the news cycle completely. Even with McCain's lovely gaffes, the attention is on Obama so his responses are noted very carefully because everyone is looking deeply for clues. And he has got the media by the balls. He's got the excitement going, but all the negative stuff they have in wait for whomever his choice will be lost in the Friday dump and overshadowed by the celebration going into Monday's convention. What a gift it is to have an intelligent candidate

I've haven't been this excited since the last Christmas Eve I believed in Santa! Am I going to get the new bicycle I want or the new socks I need. Can't wait!

NOT because I personally don't know. That doesn't bother me.

I'm annoyed because the ideal time to announce has passed, and now the media will start in hard with negative talking points about how it's gone from exciting and suspenseful to gimmicky and irritating.

I'm also annoyed because DU'ers are starting to turn on each other over this and a current of ugliness is appearing that wasn't here just an hour ago. Hopefully the rest of America isn't as quick to turn on each other as we are.
