I guess I should of adhered to the fine print. I signed up for the VP alert and now I'm getting several emails from the Obama campaign. I sure hope I can opt out after the news breaks.

3. The wording on the sign-up form was a tiny bit crafty.

It said something like, "check here if you want us to send you a text with the VP nominee, and receive occasional updates from the campaign." At the time, I wondered what "occasional" meant, but I actually haven't received more than a few. Certainly nothing like the constant barrage I get every day from the ACLU, Sierra Club, Greenpeace, MoveOn, and the other organizations/charities that know I'm a soft touch for liberal causes.

I've been getting about one email a day from the Obama campaign since I first donated. Are you interested in helping Obama get elected? Then read the emails and do what they suggest and stop calling it spam.

You signed up for the messages. And really, they're not that obnoxious. Just have your email client filter them and move them into a subfolder. Since Obama's messages aren't trying to weasel around your filters, it's just a matter of filtering by email address.

Would you rather have the usual shilling for breast/penis enlargement, Nigerian 419 scams and porn, porn, PRON?!

13. I love getting all the emails. They keep me posted on Obama's

responses to McCain, like the houses thing. They let me know about volunteer opportunities. They let me know where fundraising stands.

I want to get them. If Obama says they have a goal of a certain number of donors or a certain dollar amount, by a certain date, then I can budget and help out.
