8. Even as a long-time leading-edge gadget freak, I can't see getting a cell phone.

It's too much like that high school exercise of "care giving" ... carrying a doll around and making sure it's protected, nurtured, fed, changed, etc. The last thing I need is another OBJECT that demands more care and attention than most humans give each other.

I suppose I'll succumb one day ... with a "throwaway." (I can't see surrendering my privacy to such a company. They almost require a piss test these days.)
