Who understands the mechanics of SMS texting?
Can they send a message to all 1+ million people signed up at the same instant? (and can the phone network handle the load?)

or, do they have to do it in batches of 50 / 100? (so some people will be notified while others are still waiting?)

or is it one message at a time?

4. A computer loops through the numbers and sends them that way, it's not that much of a burden
on the system because they're not *really* going out all at the same time. You might get yours some minutes before I get mine.

5. Maybe they have service that they interface with....
You can use them without divulging the content of your message.

7. first it goes to the NSA, where it is stored, indexed,
and cross-checked, then it is routed through various servers which send out the signal sequentially to various users.

10. The can do it all at once, but...
Each message is queued. So some people will get it before others. The difference will probably be minutes, not hours.
