...I think that's exactly what is going to happen.

Obama will pick someone that is unexpected---but it be a brilliant choice. We'll love it.

I would really like it to be Biden. However, I have a feeling it's not going to be one
of the 'big three' on which the media has had so much focus.

It's going to be a shocker, but a really good shocker.

I remember during the primary, Obama was asked about possible vp picks. I think he knew back then
who he was going to pick. He said something to the effect of, "I think you might
be surprised at who I would pick. It won't be who or what you would think." This quote
was said in the context of the media suggesting that he needed to pick someone with strong
foreign policy experience. I think he was sensitive and insulted about people insisting that
he pick a foreign-policy wonk because he wasn't qualified in that area. He even went so far as to
discuss how he had the judgment and the experience to do very well in foreign-policy
and national-security matters.

For this reason, I get the feeling that it won't be someone who is strong on foreign
policy. I think it will be someone strong on economic and domestic issues and
someone who is brilliant, well known and appeals to Democrats and sane Republicans.

You know when someone has a really, really good business idea that no one has ever
thought of...and you think, "Damn! That's brilliant! Why didn't I think of that?"

That's how we'll all feel.

That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it.
