The narrative is coming together and it makes the media look like the wankers they are
for attempting to label Obama as the "elite".

John McCain is finally starting to be seen as the guy with 10 houses, whose wife thinks you simply must have a private plane to get around, who has been on the public payroll for almost 30 years with free healthcare, government pensions, etc., who believes that Americans would not pick lettuce if it paid $50 bucks an hour, who graduated at the bottom of his class, has no grip or concept about anything involving economics, and who puts almost all his stock in trade on the POW card.

The most effective ad Obama could run is one that is just a montage of McCain's better moments: Czechoslovakia, $50 dollar lettuce, don't know nuthin about economy, forgetting how many houses, "viagra" moment, etc. and then just say,

Obama - Smart Choice!

3. One of the 2 is the all- American Horatio Alger self-made man ideal
who came from nowhere to the highest echelons based on nothing but his hard work and drive. Clue - it WASN'T John McCain.

4. It just kinda sucks that it took a gaffe of this proportion for the MSM to finally see it.
Anyone who's done any sort of serious analysis of the information and plans that McCain's offered knows that he's basically a windy gasbag with no substance at all. The fallback on the standard Republican stance just doesn't work anymore.

6. They don't see it, they are just stuck with it.
The corporate media knew full well that Cindy McCain was the Budweiser Heiress and that John McCain III was the admiral's none-to-bright son who crashed planes on a regular basis, they just thought they could get away with their "Obamas the Elitist" attack as part of their propaganda war agains the american people and it has blown up in their faces. Shit happens. They will hardly blink as they reach for the next distraction in their bag of tricks. Anything at all that keeps this election from being about real issues will do.

7. Well, they also are afflicted with the short term memory of a fricking goldfish.
So, we basically have to do their work for them. At least this finally got through to them. I do like how MSNBC has started to mature in comparison to the other media outlets in having moments where they are rather candid about how stories in the media come about. Like, they'll actually admit a flaw or weakness, which is nice (Chris Matthews saying that he will self-examine any sexism in his coverage or Chuck Todd, Olbermann and his guests noting stories that originate within the media and not from actual sources).

5. When people say, "McCain"
we want them to go "Ain't that the guy with 10 houses"?
