2. Yes, I'm so glad Kerry is fighting back! It's about time
we stand up and be heard and not be intimidated election after election by the big money people.

3. Not just "kicking butt"...
That is so subjective and(take it from an old bouncer...) so open to interpretation. No, they are showing Dear Leader and his claque for what they are: a cowardly and venal bunch of pricks, con-men, racketeers and just plain jerkoffs. Especially the jerkoff part. Just kicking them to the curb with aplomb.

This is providing me with some much needed solace on a rather rotten day.

Anyone got a job they need to fill? :eyes:

5. It's great -- he's got Dubya on the defensive now.
Dubya is itching to get rid of 527s. Kerry needs to point out that it's not the 527s that are to blame; it's the lies. There's nothing wrong with holding 527s responsible for the content of their ads, & there's nothing wrong with the voters pitching in to their preferred candidates via 527s, either. The Democrats impressively blindsided the Republicans with their organization efforts via the internet, & they're not happy.

I like Chris Matthews' idea that there be a one-on-one debate between Dubya & Kerry specifically addressing their Vietnam records.

7. I'm going to go out on a limb

and say that I think that Kerry won the election today. The Cleland and Vets visit to the * Ranch was very effective because it put a bullseye on *'s lack of character and scored a direct hit.

All * had to do was meet Cleland and the Veterans at the gate and stand for a photo op and take the letter and invite them in. He refused to do so, which showed that he lacked diplomatic skills, political skills, balls, and character.

on edit: spelling

11. I think you could be right.
I sure hope you are. I am heartened to see that Kerry will not go down without a fight. And, he's a gentleman while he fights as well.

8. Yes, Standing up to those who attack his record
This is exactly what needs to be done to show the sheeple that he is a fighter who will defend his name and honor. The message also is that he is a leader who will stand up to his enemies and protect America and not hide behind closed doors as someone in Crawford is doing. He told Bush to condemn the SBVT's ads and if Bush didn't then, BRING IT ON! He spoke and now he's doing exactly what he said he would do.

9. Kerry made a remark about how in Vietnam he turned his boat around and
confronted the enemy, and that he was about to do the same thing to Bush.

I think this is a defining moment as you have said. :hi: The timing couldn't be better.

15. I hope this is only the opening salvo
because the Republicans are going to keep on spreading distortions and lies. They'll hardly miss a beat- and they'll say anything to win the emotional arguments.

The Kerry camp needs to do more than counter-punch. They need an offensive exposing BushCo for what they are.
