add to that the fact that his family has been arriving at his house all day today....

It's him.

Good choice, Barack, good choice.

1. F-ck. I was hoping for Clark or even Hillary. Biden's ok though.
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 12:50 AM by elkston
But hey, this could just be coincidence. We won't know until Barack tells us.

Biden is a soild choice, but there is no excitement like a Hillary, Gore or even Wesley Clark.

Biden's o.k., but definitely not as qualified to be prez (A qualification Obama has said they need to have) as Wesley Clark.

41. I heard that speculated tonight on MSNBC, I think it was.
Whoever was the pundit - maybe Jonathan Alter or some such - said that Biden was doing things you'd expect someone to do if they were going to be very busy for the next 60 days. Clearing the deck might just be what he's doing.

8. usually this stuff points more to who will be VP than stuff like campaign appearances
scheduled. since any scheduling that involves the VP announcement is not going to be announced until after the VP is announced anyways.

That's another advantage - that thought crossed my mind earlier, when I heard he was from Scranton. On Hardball Smirconish (I think) reminded me that Delaware is actually part of the Philly area, in that we all tune in to the same news, South Jersey, Philly and burbs and Delaware. Yes, yes

The Philly media has been going crazy over the possibility of VP Biden. He is viewed as a native son in the whole region, not just DE. The local ABC affiliate has a "Biden Watch" and Joe Biden slideshow up on their website right now.

I remember before he dropped out of the primaries catching him on CSPAN and I just couldn't stop watching him. I'll admit, he has this no bullshit delivery that I like (even if I don't agree with exactly everything he says). And he always seems like he's in a good mood. Amazing for a guy who lost so much in the past and who is really lucky to be alive.

I don't think family arriving at his house all day is much of a sign, family could arrive all day at his house every day but no one is there to record it. They could also be arriving because one of the family is going to Iraq. Maybe the Obama camp helped pay off his debts and maybe he received a windfall profit from some where else and is using that money to pay it off. Don't jump to conclusions

47. Yeah that Biden, what a genius.
Let's see he voted for the BIGGEST debacle in U.S. history, he voted for a corrupt bankruptcy bill, and he voted for further banking deregulation (AFTER the S&L debacle when many people were warning AGAINST it).

The fact that someone like that would be considered one of our smartest is a prime example of how America has lost its way.

Some of them with extremely low post counts,
blowing the Biden sunshine at blinding levels.

Some one, or some group is expending a lot
of energy here to promote this career politician
who has rolled over on the important votes.

Makes me scared that we are being prepped, and
that Biden WILL be the choice.

Well, we'll find out today, either way!

58. Nonsense
You can be mad, disappointed, outraged, you name it, about his votes, but they have nothing to do with his smarts. It's obvious to anyone who listened to him that he is laser-sharp. You are free to disagree with what he does with his brains, that's a wholly different matter. Personally I accept that nobody is perfect, but Biden is pretty damn good, and I would be very happy if he is the choice.
