Biden? Is Biden the buzz now?
All I can say is.... Good.

Not many people's first choice, but I respect it.

Joe's a good man and a recipient of MANY complimentary posts here on DU for his stunning oratory and principled stands.

I think Obama could do worse. But not a lot better.

2. Biden's been the MEDIA favorite pretty much all this week.
But he said himself that he wasn't "the guy". And I agree with him. :)

12. Clark would be my first choice
I remember a vague quote from the 2004 election.

The GOP were shaking in their boots at the prospect of a Clark presidency.

And why? Because he had no skeletons in his closet. Nothing in his past to bring him down. A spotless and honorable military record, good family life and not a hint of corruption.

THAT's what scares them the most.

6. Doing better, doing worse, is just somebody's opinion.
The opinion that counts the most is that of Barack Obama.

9. But who's reading his tea leaves?
Barack may yet surprise us all.

That's what I love about VP picks. They're almost NEVER predictable.

10. Yeah, you've got a point there
He'd make a spectacular Secretary of State.

And probably much more influential in that role.

11. His principled stands for MBNA and the credit card lenders are legendary...
Maybe when he becomes VP he can free himself from their shackles and become the "good man" that so many of you believe him to be....

17. Did he vote for that?
That's one of the worst things that Congress did.

I really can't fathom how ANY Democrat could have supported that bill but rejected it's many compassionate amendments.

23. Oh yeah. I forgot about that
Why exactly IS DE the CC capital of America, anyways?

I DO remember that Conrad Black (the most hated Canadian) was tried there. Is there a connection?

26. Like I posted above. His state is run by those companies. A lot of jobs depend on them
He's likely gets a ton of pressure from the people of that state

14. He's on video in his driveway telling reporters "I'm not the guy." Would that be a lie?
Quite regrettable to start out with a lie.

Though that's basically my only reason for not wanting it to be Biden.

Is it his opinion? Or is it what Barack's campaign specifically TOLD him?

His statment to the press on what characterstics he wants doesn't fit Biden at all.
