Sibelius, Kaine-- probably out of the VP running
Scratch two from the Obama V.P. short list

Among those rumored to be on Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's short list for vice president have been Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and And Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

But Texas Democratic Party spokesman Hector Nieto just told me that Kaine has been confirmed to speak to the Texas delegation breakfast next Wednesday and Sebelius is set for Monday.

Highly unlikely that they would be speaking to anything but swing state delegations if they were about to make a running mate's acceptance speech.

1. Thank god Sebilius isn't on it anymore. What a terrible pick that would have been. As for Kaine,
he definitely wasn't one of the better choices.

3. That's an understatement
Governor Kaine was/is probably the most terrible likely choice, along with Senator Clinton.

5. Definately agree--Barack makes a good choice by not picking either one

2. Well, they can easily change speaking slots, based who Obama selects....
But as much as I like Sebelius and think she'd make a fantastic V.P., if scratching her from the short-list also means that Kaine comes off the short-list, I can live with that.

6. Do You Think They Wouldn't Confirm If They Were The Pick?
That would be a giveaway.
