Obama now taking off the gloves. Airs new TV ad linking McCain to Ralph Reed
http://thepage.time.com/2008/08/20/new-georgia-obama-tv-ad-links-mccain-ralph-reed/

Latest spot airing in Georgia suggests the Arizonan deliberately let the former Christian Coalition head off the hook in his Indian Affairs Committee investigation of Jack Abramoff’s Indian lobbying.

5. I personally love that they waited a little bit to start the shock & awe campaign....
We let McCain portray himself as Mr. Negative. Most people aren't really paying attention to the meat and bones of the campaign yet. Obama is still really an unknown. A great convention speech and a couple debate massacres and this thing is over.

9. I KNoW right? The man is so politically astute it makes Kerry and Gore look like children. I just
love the way Obama plays ball. I hope to God he becomes President because he will be way more interesting and proactive than any other in modern history.

10. Reed got his ass kicked in 06' when he ran for LT. Governer in GA.
I'm not sure Reed is liked very much around here.

And, who the fuck cares about evangelicals? They will be voting for McCain regardless.

17. yes, we do. Georgia is in play this year.
Not only did Georgia go Dem in 2006 (it is only due to the now proven voting fraud on the dieobld machines that chambliss won -- it's called vote switching and a good person from sos turned the machines in to GOP world computer security specialist Spoonamore, who found the device).

Georgia is full of Democrats, have no fear.

The Obama camp really needs to go after McCain. This is not really taking the gloves off.

18. It's About Frickin' TIME!
And even this isn't enough. Not NEARLY enough.

I'm sorry, Barack. You're gonna have to wade into the mud and get dirty. Until WE hold the White House and set the policies and the agenda and the national dialogue and all the rest of it - so we can start reforming and pulling our politics out of the sewer, THIS IS HOW THE GAME HAS TO BE PLAYED. You can shower off and sweeten up again AFTER IT'S OVER and you have the Oval Office keys hanging on your key ring. NOT A NANOSECOND BEFORE!!! The time to be gracious and genteel is AFTER YOU'VE WON. NOT BEFORE.

The high road takes you straight over a cliff. We didn't start this, but we CAN finish it. But ONLY if we WIN.
