Is participating on DU more important and serious than voting for Obama?

If Senator Obama joined DU and started a thread, then he wouldn't be able to recommend that thread. DU has rules to safeguard against bias because DU is important.

The end result of the election will be just some numbers. Perhaps a study that focuses on a variety of things, including those numbers, can yield some insights. However, just reading the numbers will do little or nothing to make you wiser. However, it's not unrealistic to suppose that reading a good DU thread can help make you wiser.

2. Voting is more important than reading DU

because while DU can maybe change a few minds (though given how people generally react during political discourse this is very unlikely) but an election can LITERALLY change things on a massive scale beyond the few people who visit this forum.
