Obama's done well in VA so far anyway. I don't think he needs Kaine to flip the state. Compared to Richardson, Clark, or even Biden (aside from his serious campaign risks) Kaine would seem like a really weak choice. He was one of the first Obama supporters, and that's great. But it shouldn't be criteria for the VP position. Especially in the current media driven political climate.

Although a long shot, I think him and Senator Obama share a lot of things in common and have the same progressive ideas for America. No one has been a more loyal supporter and defender of Obama than Senator Kerry. Biden doesn't deserve this spot and didn't even endorse Senator Obama after he withdrew from the Primaries. The media has been pushing Biden and I resent it.
