Why isn't Anyone Supposing the Veep Could be Chris Dodd?
He was the first of them to drop out, endorsed Obama VERY early on, and is a veteran.

His closeness with the Kennedys and Caroline on the vet cmttee?

It's just a thought.

1. Some are. I know the Connecticut Unions love Dodd.
That's good enough for me.

6. I actually forgot that Rell (the governor of Conn) is a repig...so it might leave him out.
I know I wouldn't want to take a chance on a more split senate.

18. The Governor would replace Dodd with a Republican.
She is a Republican.

Lamont is a Democrat.

He would be a great choice
I originally caucused for him, was a party of one, and eventually went for Edwards. But I think Dodd, as well as Biden, are too valuable in the Senate. Kind of hate to lose either of them.

3. Tom Harkin thinks it should be Chris Dodd
and he said he'd been vetted by the Obama camp.

Could be.

9. Any Dem tied to the financial mess (including Biden for this reason)
is a poor choice for an attack dog.

14. Anyone who is selected for Veep will get jumped on for something.
How come Republicans never truly worry about the petty...which is what countrywide is.

We, as Democrats are scarier than the elected Dem officials that we always refer to as not having spines.

12. I see him as a good outside chance. He's a good guy and it would make Ted happy to see Dodd there
or Kerry. I think Ted WANTS an open government Democrat to allow the people access to documents their government has kept from them for decades. He was likely under great duress his entire life just from what he knew and couldn't reveal without putting his family at greater risk.

Not sure why he isn't mentioned more -- maybe since CT is not in play, not sure. I also like Dodd because he is RPCV like me!
