who else hopes Mccain picks Lieberman?
No other choice would better energize the democratic base for Obama or horrify right wing crazies more.

11. Jindal is my second favorite for McCain, after Lieberman.
Either one would secure an Obama victory no matter who Obama picks!

6. McCain is old and Lieberman is just butt ugly
On a pure, visceral level, that will turn a lot of people off.

10. Present!
They were meant for each other. And besides, "Bobby Jindal" sounds too much like that touching and beloved kindergarten ditty, "Little Bobby Shasto." Anyone remember the rest of it.....something about going out to sea???

12. I really hope he doesn't. Before lieberman was a turncoat sack of crap
He was already a lightning rod for antisemitism. I wish deputy dawg would just retire myself :(

13. I don't
In fact, the idea scares me. I can't stand Lieberman but I think he would help a McCain ticket. Maybe my views are skewed a little because I hang out with so many Jews, but I get scared when I talk to people who say they are lifelong Democrats but don't trust Obama, and I think Lieberman would help McCain win some of those folks. Maybe as a Jew I have an inflated sense of our importance as a voting bloc, but I know that as much as I can't stand him now, Lieberman was at one time an icon to me and many other Jews when he was nominated to be Gore's vice president. I imagine some Jews who aren't as partisan as I am still see him that way. As much as I can't stand Lieberman, I really wish we had him on our side.

16. Don't worry, democrattotheend... Lieberman will sink McCain's ticket if he picks him
It might help in Florida, but that's it. I think McCain has a good chance of getting Florida anyway, so we'll worry about other states.

I wish Lieberman was on our side too, but much like Zell Miller, he has turned to the dark side.

If he doesn't want to be on our side, we are fine without him.

My mom, God bless her heart, always told me that if someone doesn't like you, it's their problem, not yours.. don't worry about it. I wish Lieberman was on our side, but it's HIS problem, not ours.

15. The most charisma-challenged ticket in U.S. history. Pick him, John.
The social conservative Right will never sign on with Lieberman. And the left will be energized to nail the SOB.

And the thought of McCain-Lieberman in all those pictures together. Ewwww. . .
