1. It was driven by circumstances
Lieberman - was - and still is - sanctimonious. He (self righteous ass)had censored Clinton.

There was always the Florida vote of course. On that - it worked. Gore clearly got way more votes than Bush in Florida.

2. Surely there's no chance he'd choose Lieberman?
I honestly think Sam Nunn would be even worse, though.

3. And that's all the more reason I hope McCain chooses him
Let them both sink like a bag of rocks.

6. Too much hot air to sink.
You'd have to tie an actual bag of rocks to the two of them.

5. I don't know how old you are but in my life time it would be McGovern's first choice of Eagleton
because he's the only VP choice who was forced off the ticket which certainly contributed to McGovern's landslide loss.

7. I actually think Hagel could be a worse choice if you look at his domestic
voting record it's horrible.

9. Its 20-20 hindsight now
In 2000, it wasn't a terrible choice. Looking back from what we know now, of course it was a terrible choice.

12. And he's gonna be a horrible choice for McCain too (let's hope he is picked)!
Nothing will sink McCain's ticket quicker than putting Lieberman on it.

13. it was a very stupid move by gore. he believed that the country hated clinton

14. If that was the worst - what was the best?
Gore? Johnson?

Johnson has to be up there. What a consummate politician. He knew how to get things done.
Hillary was right when she made that comment that everyone chose to misread and have hissy fits about.
