Is Obama too nice?
Don't get me wrong. I love Obama. He wasn't my first choice but he has grown on me and I see him as the only hope for America, maybe the world.

But...

after seeing the churchhall meeting last night and McCains possible cheating, I have to wonder if Obama realizes just what he is up against. He's obviously a very smart man and surely must know of the corruption going on right now. But he seems reluctant to shove it back in their faces.

We've had way too much of the dems letting shit go, not calling out these assholes when they needed to be called out and just generally being too meek to play the hardball kind of game that the republicons are not hesitant to play.

The republicons don't care if they are caught in lies. They don't care if they are caught cheating. They don't care how many people they cause to be killed. They don't care.

The dems seem to want to make sure that they are not caught in any lies, not seen as being angry and harsh and just letting the cons walk all over them.

Do you think Obama fully realizes the evil of this administration, the extent that they will go to win? Including cheating. Does he understand the machines are rigged? Does he fully understand how they will purge dem voters? Does he understand that they will be willing to make his plane go down? Does he fully understand that the media is on the other side totally and will lie for the cons? Do you think he knows all of these things and will be able to be mean enough to combat it?

I don't think it's in his nature to be shitty to people and while this is one reason we like him, I want him to pull out all the stops and do whatever it takes to beat them. If we don't win.....

I'm afraid America will die. We can't do four more years of this raping of America and the world. We just can't survive it.

1. Geez, everyone was so upset and disillusioned last month
when that Ryan Lizza article came out in Vanity Fair (the one with The Cover)--it showed that Obama was an ambitious, calculating and cutthroat politician. Which he can be. Which is good. I don't think he's too nice. I think he's a good person, though.

6. Naive people don't beat Clintons either.
I think the Obama campaign will fight hard in September and October. I am counting on it.

9. Is it getting any press?
Can we just put them in a boxing ring and watch him cold-cock him just once? I need it. Ok, it won't be fair for him to be in a physical contest with McOlderthanshit so maybe he could take on Olderthanshit, shrub, piggyrove, Limpballs, and Darth all at once. They couldn't claim that was unfair and I think he could do it.

It would make me feel better, after all.

Wow, try spell checking that. All the words came up. (ok not all_

5. Well, he can be tough, but

he is generally nice. But then again, anyone seems nice compared to the Republicans. I think a lot of people underestimate how tough and hard-hitting Obama can be if\when he wants to.

8. Yes, Obama IS too nice...
Edited on Sun Aug-17-08 01:14 PM by Diogenes2
He's also too smart, too witty, too caring and concerned, too happily married, too open-minded, too affable and ingratiating, he learns too fast, he's too darn handsome by half, he's overly literate, his compassion is showing all over the place, his cool-headedness and composure are way over the top-- but we'll just have to GO with him as our candidate, despite his myriad shortcomings...

with integrity. Always has been. That, in and of itself, speaks volumes about the man.
