4. I totally agree
I seriously doubt it will be either Kerry or Richardson. I'm hoping for Biden or Clark, but I doubt Clark is anywhere near the short list.

5. What about me??
I've been out of work for over a week and could use the dough. Plus, I'll impeach the shit out of those bad boys. I'm strong (on defense) and and and........

7. Do you enjoy attending funerals?
Also, you'll have to use a hand-me-down jet and limo. Are you sure you can deal with that?

6. I don't think these are really the last two--
but I really do like Bill Richardson. Even though his middle name is Blaine. He's got foreign policy chops and knows a bit about energy policy, too. He also has a good personality and I think he would make a good connection and a match for Obama--you know, be at home with an "Obama-sized" crowd, or light up a smaller venue by just talking the issues. This isn't to say Kerry isn't a good choice, but I think Richardson is the better fit.

13. if you look at the convention speakers Kaine is the only one who has been
on the veep lists who is not scheduled for a speech. Not a definite sign but you have to wonder why a guy that is as loyal as Senator Obama is would not reward the first politician to endorse him after he announced his candidacy. The Obamas and the Kaine familys are very close with both wives going Princeton/Harvard and both men graduating from Harvard. If Obama was not going to make him VP I think that he would have given him some kind of a slot to pay back the fact that he endorsed him first.

Now look at this list and tell me that Obama couldn't have slipped him in to pay him back somewhere

Monday, August 25:
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper
Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois
Tribute to Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts
Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama’s older brother to introduce...
Michelle Obama

Tuesday, August 26:
Convention Co-Chair Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano
Governors Ted Strickland of Ohio
Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania
Senator Bob Casey, Jr. of Pennsylvania
Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts
Governor Brian Schweitzer of Montana
Federico Peña, former Mayor of Denver and Secretary of both Energy and Transportation

Representative Nydia Velazquez of New York
Representative Linda Sanchez of California
Representative Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin
Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton of DC
Representative Mike Honda of California
Keynote Speaker: Former Governor Mark Warner of Virginia
Senator Hillary Clinton of New York

Wednesday, August 27:
President Bill Clinton of New York
Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico
Senator Joe Biden of Deleware
Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia
Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana
Senator Harry Reid of Nevada
Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado
Congressman Jim Clyburn of South Carolina
Congressman Patrick Murphy of Pennsylvania
Congressman Robert Wexler of Florida
Iraq War Veteran Tammy Duckworth of Illinois
VP acceptance speech

Thursday, August 28:

Clinton is unlikely to be picked but it would be stupid to rule her out until the very last moment.

11. As much as I love John Kerry, Bill Richardson would be the best choice, imho
Biden, Bayh and others are out for various reasons... I really think it's Richardson.
