Can Hillary's Name Be Put in Nomination for VP at the Convention?
I know she will be up for nomination for Prez in the first ballot. When she loses that vote and Barack Obama is nominated for the Presidency, can her supporters put her name for nomination for VP on Wednesday night? If so, what happens if her supporters gather enough votes to make her VP nominee? Is this plausible? What if Obama wanted Kaine and it turns out that the Convention gives him Hillary? :dilemma:

1. I don't know the answer for this -- but
does it mean that the VP has to be voted on and approved, also?

I never even thought of that - just thought the nominee could say "Here s/he is!" and that would be that.

Thanks! (I have SO much to learn - never paid attention before.)

2. Jesus, I hope we have more sense than that.
We have a history of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease don't make this year another of those.

4. It is POSSIBLE
but it is not PROBABLE because it is not a good idea. I want Hillary for VP too... but I would NOT want her for VP if the ticket were forced. Obama has to be on board for that ticket and excited about it or else it just plain wont work. If it is forced at the convention then we WILL lose in November, and that is not something I think I can deal with.

5. Please let the Hillary VP thing rest
Post like this is what gets people fired up and causes the poster problems on DU me included. I consider this post to be flame baiting. Just let it rest
