Surprise, surprise -- There is NO ONE there on SATURDAY.
I find it ODD that Steve Clemons would sit on publishing this story until SATURDAY, when no one is available to confirm or deny.

4. Damn! So Clark is not a politician and he's fearless. I guess that doesn't fit in with the Dem's
desired wishy-washy, middle-of-the-road, spineless, flaccid image. God help us.

5. That's a slanted story.
The story claims Obama said he wasn't needed at the convention, but we already know Clark is scheduled to be in Italy that week, anyway. More likely, Clark has been negotiating with Obama to see if he should cancel his plans to attend, and Obama has arranged the convention so that Clark can be in Italy.

This doesn't even preclude Clark making a taped statement of a live sat feed (like Obama himself, from his Mile High). It doesn't even mean he's not the VP choice (though that would surprise me). It does mean that the HuffPo is interested in creating more dissension within the Democratic ranks by slanting their story in the most divisive way possible.

6. I doubt that story is true
about dissing Clark.

That's not Obama's style. He has been more than gracious and accomodating to Hillary, even though she has done and said some very very nasty things to him. so why would he mistreat Clark in this way?

makes no sense. I'm sure there is a lot more to this than first glance. let's wait and see before another nontroversy takes over the board.
