Prediction: Bill Clinton will give Obama a big and enthusiastic endorsement at convention speech
I've heard people ask when Clinton would give a big endorsement of Obama and I'll bet his speech on Wed night will include an enthusiastic endorsment of Obama before a cheering crowd and millions of TV viewers. The Big Dawg will leave no doubts that he favors Obama over McCain.

1. this will be Bill's most challenging acting job.
maybe he'll pretend the crowd is there to adore him and he can wing it that way.

I'm not so sure I want to see this.

5. I'm sure it would be
disappointing if you are not able to wail and complain about President Clinton not being strong enough in his support, so you probably shouldn't watch.

22. I can't think of any president in the last 40 years who wasn't a lot more disappointing then Bill
I am so proud to have voted for him twice. And my feelings haven't changed, except that I am now proud to have supported Hillary for president as well.

6. After seeing that pathetic answer of his about Obama being qualified, I will be surprised if he
mentions Obama's name once.

In that recent interview he showed a real immaturity and anger that I found appalling from a former President.

36. Yeah, if only he had said "yes" as opposed to providing a 5-minute answer to a simple question.
That was a bullshit answer, and everyone BUT the hardcore Clinton supporters can see that fact.

40. Actually, no...
It's only the hard core Clinton haters and the MSM that contend otherwise.

Bill Clinton has never given a "yes or no" answer in his life.

When he said "you can argue no one is ever ready to assume the presidency" he also said " I know I had a lot to learn about the job in my first year". So if he was dissing Senator Obama, he was dissing himself along with him.

And you can't tell me, or anyone listening without an ear filled with hate, that calling the man as "smart as a whip, so there is nothing he can't learn" is the least bit demeaning. Senator Obama is a very smart man, but he does NOT know everything there is to know in the world, and I'm willing to bet that he will be the first to agree with that. It was a compliment, not a slur.

Dump that Garbage and a great weight will be lifted from your back.

7. Bill will talk about himself and his glorious Administration that gave us DOMA, DADT, CIA renditions
and a nasty little war in Yugoslavia that led to the current situation in the Caucasus. To this litany I will add that it was Clinton that put that Opus Dei and computer-hating Louis Freeh in charge of FBI. It was Freeh's FBI that bungled the investigation of the 1993 WTC bombing, and ignored its field agents' reports on suspicious characters taking flying lessons in which they disregarded landing training.

The only reason people have nostalgia for the Clinton years is because the Bush regime has destroyed our beloved Republic and established an imperial Presidency, with imperial wars to go with it.

gained ANY of the traction it did while GHWBush and his cronies were being exposed as traitors to this country at their TRIALS.

8. I am sure that he will deliver the most effective speech on Obama
that will bring up big issue points that have been lost in the day to day.

Clinton knows his history and he knows that this will be one of his last opportunities to grab the mantle back.

It is also his last chance to repair his reputation with the AA community which he values.

He will be great.

21. Do you recall his speech in 2004? Refused to mention ONE WORD about Kerry's achievements, though
he knew as well as anyone that there wasn't a lawmaker in DC who knew more about terrorism and tracking their international funding than Kerry.

He skipped over Kerry's entire career and went from lauding that he went to Vietnam to lauding his choice for VP.

Gore's speech for Kerry in 2004 was the exact opposite of Clinton's and EXACTLY the type of speech Clinton should have given during his heavily covered time slot.

30. about tracking the intn'l funding thing - that's BCCI, isn't it?
Clinton refused to act on the information Kerry uncovered on that enormous scandal that involved the House of Bush among many others. this is the one, correct? hard to keep up with it all.

would certainly explain why Bill has been so lukewarm in supporting Kerry - I'm sure they had some interesting fly on the wall conversations about all this.

why would Bill want to cover up BCCI and how does this now relate to the fact that he is treating Obama much the same way as he did Kerry (much worse imo)? could it also be that obama may be in a position to uncover some unflattering things about what looks like a Clinton/bush collusion?

32. Jackson Stephens was Bill's money angel for 1992 primary. Stephens was GHWBush's longtime
benefactor and was the fascist who brought BCCI into this country for Poppy. He also was in on the efforts to turn Walmart away from Buy American when he helped arrange dealings with Chinese industrialists and Walmart with Poppy's influence on China in the 70s.

Stephens was a named figure in BCCI - Stephens groomed Clinton to be the clean up Dem for GHWBush. No way did Bushes or Clintons want Kerry in the WH with access to documents he tried to make public in the 90s.

37. and then there's the Hillary/Wal mart connection.
http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0207-34.htm

So, the question still remains: what did Hillary Clinton do—or, not do—when she served on the board of Wal-Mart? Maybe, if her memory was refreshed, she could tell us how she protested the company’s relentless union-busting, expressed feminist outrage at the widespread discrimination against women and was horrified that the mushrooming wealth of the Wal-Mart family was made possible on the backs of slave labor around the world.

Her behavior then, when the spotlight was not on and her record did not matter to voters, should tell voters a lot more about her principles and values than the carefully orchestrated image New Yorkers try to figure out now. The voters deserve to know.

For the past 25 years, Jonathan Tasini has been a union leader and organizer, a social activist, and a commentator and writer on work, labor and the economy. From 1990 to April 2003, he served as president of the National Writers Union (United Auto Workers Local 1981) During his tenure, the union tripled in size and became one of the most influential forces in the country for protecting the rights of freelance writers.

==
Tasini ran against her for NY senator, didn't he?
o boy, pull one thread and many things start to unravel.

28. I trust President Clinton to do well.
If not for the sake of his reputation but for the sake of his wife and daughter. People laugh and think that politicians don't pay attention to message boards; you'd be surprised to find that personal assistants and aides silently take notes about public perceptions. He's far from stupid and knows that his reputation is very much on the line right now; he'll do well and we'll see the Bill Clinton that is an expert orator, loudly declaring his support for our nominee.

31. I want to agree with you, but I have my doubts
Bill Clinton wanted to help Hillary's campaign too. He really tried hard. However, many observers see his "help" as actually a hindrance.

Bill Clinton hopefully will do better in promoting Obama than he did Hillary. Bill's problem is his ego. Adept at promoting himself, he falls flat promoting others.

I think Bill Clinton will try to do a good job. I hope he succeeds, but I worry a LOT. If he does not knock it out of the park, the MSM will jump all over it as being a bad thing for Obama.

Since Clinton will need Obama supporters in 2012, I would be surprised if it wasn't a strong endorsement.
