Obama campaign: A counterpunch is not a counterpunch if you wait a week to throw it
You said you would hit back but McBush called you a celebrity for a week and your campaign gave the American people absolutely nothing but right wing BS to believe. When they came out with the celebrity tag, what was the reframe? Did you say I am not a celebrity, I am interesting and inspiring and McBush is boring? No, your campaign said _______. Nothing for a week. And 5% of the American people were swayed.

You hit back and hit back hard and quick because I am not working my ass off to get you elected to see what we are doing go to waste. This election is far too important.

2. There is nothing "whining" about having a smart campaign.
See that is how you reframe, whining my ass. I do not except your view and express it quickly and firmly.

15. haha
Because I advocate turning the other cheek.

I think the way Obama is running the campaign HAS worked. I doubt Obama is worried about taking advice from some political junkie on a liberal forum.

I love armchair campaigning. :eyes:

4. The concern is about winning an election and millions of lives are at stake

16. Okay, okay

I just reject the notion that he's running a bad campaign. I think he's doing just fine. He will be back up in the polls, national and state, very shortly. And he *is* airing attack ads in regional/local markets, and there was the 41-page return of fire on Corsi's hitpiece.

7. He's not a concern troll, I promise.
I know him personally and in this area there is not one single more dedicated person to getting all democrats (excpet a certain turncoat named Chris Koster) elected.

5. I think he was smart to vacation during the Olympics
The focus of much of the media is on the games, he's gathering energy for the next push, and the 5% swing is going away soon.

6. The lack of faith in this campaign continues
Why, after winning what a lot of people would have thought was an impossible battle for the nomination through great strategy, do people assume this campaign has suddenly forgotten how to...campaign?

10. ...because Democrats don't do so well in presidential elections?
It's not whining if the track record speaks for itself. People don't want to see the same mistakes repeated.

The most dangerous thing we can do is drink Kool-Aid and play prevent defense, hoping the other guy doesn't score.

14. I'll say this

No one but Obama and his campaign staff know what there strategy is. He has not come this far to drop the ball now. If Obama had done what people consider a traditional campaign against Senator Clinton believe me he would have lost. In fact I watched his campaign and had no idea that they had already won in February. ALL the pundits had crowned Senator Clinton the winner and had no idea what Obama was about to do. He is NOT running a traditional campaign so that is why we have no idea what he is doing.

He is keeping his VP close to his chest because he knows McCain is waiting to see who he picks and then he will make his choice. So he's holding out to make it harder on McCain. PLUS Obama knows that only politcal junkies are really in tune right now. He's letting McCain hit him a little bit and tire himself out. Then as it gets closer Obama is going to go for the kill I'm telling you. It's like boxing. It's rope-a-dope.

He can't run the same campaign in the general as he did in the primary. I'm sure they have an outlined line of attack on McCain. As it gets closer he is going to paint McCain as completely unacceptable. He's going to hit McCain so hard and keep him on the defensive. I mean look at all the gaffes and ammo Obama can use against McCain. If Obama hits McCain with the element of surprise in a Pearl Harbor type fashion and drop political bombs on him the last 2-3 weeks of the election, gets the media constantly covering it and McCain trying to answer for it and before being able to answer dropping ANOTHER bomb on him. He's got him.

Obama is NOT stupid. I read that New Yorker artical and it said Obama is cunning and he knows when to use it. I trust that he's going to use at the perfect time and when he does McCain is going to be out for the count.

As soon as they bring Rev Wright he's going to run clips of Hagee and all his horrible clips paired with McCain. The Bush/McCain hug is coming.Alllllllllll those gaffes from youtube that make him look like the ass clown he is. It's coming people,it's coming.

Do it now and it loses it's effect and he can't use it again. Do it at the perfect time and there is no coming back from it.

Compare how the Obama compaign shut down Corsi. And he certainly did get shut down.
