Jackson Browne sued Republican John McCain's committee and the Ohio GOP and RNC
Edited on Fri Aug-15-08 04:43 PM by MagickMuffin
The Ohio Republican Party says it pulled the Web ad at the center of a lawsuit filed by singer Jackson Browne, who accuses the party of using without permission his famous song, "Running on Empty," in an ad critical of Democrat Barack Obama.

Ohio GOP spokesman John McClelland says the party sent a letter to Browne's attorney explaining that the party immediately yanked the ad. He said the party has no further comment.

Browne sued Republican John McCain's committee and the Ohio and national Republican committees in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Browne, an environmental and social activist, is a lifelong liberal.

:applause:

Jackson didn't waste anytime allowing the slime machine using his copy protected material in their ads.

1. Damned Republicans!
Think they own every damned thing! I'm glad Jackson Browne is drawing attention to the fact that McAnus just appropriates anything to which he believes he's entitled without so much as asking permission.

It's also a good reminder that the lion's share of people with any discernible talent are Democratic and/or liberal.

2. I do believe it is the Rethuglicons that ARE.... RUNNING ON EMPTY
They haven't had ANY good ideas in decades, if ever.

I'm glad Jackson didn't even warn them a law suit was coming. He just went ahead and filed.
