LePore wouldn't reveal the publisher or her book's working title, but she told a Boca Raton Roundtable luncheon audience of about 50 today that her first draft was sent back with the comment that "I wasn't mean enough.
With 10 presidential candidates on the ballot in Florida in 2000, LePore decided to list the names across two pages to allow a larger typeface to accommodate voters with poor eyesight. The design ended up confusing many voters, particularly Democrats who mistook Al Gore's spot for Reform Party nominee Pat Buchanan's. Many Democrats blame LePore for Gore's 537-vote loss in Florida.
