7. please don't call women skanks. or tramps or those other words I see here.
it is disrespectful to all women to be defined as a baubble for a man to diddle with.

if you believe in feminism or women's rights these kinds of descritpions should not be tolerated against All women, not just the ones you like or admire.

2. They won't hear about it.
The corporate media won't allow it, lest the election become a blowout, resulting in low ratings for pre-election programming.

5. This fact (the silence) is the worst part of this fiasco. There is no media - only propaganda.

9. so this was what, 30 years ago? I think it will be seen as ancient
history and any Dem that brings it up will be laughed at.

16. Maybe because we in AZ have always been aware of it
It really isn't new. Add to that the fact that he has never tried to deny and cover it up I don't see it as a good issue to hammer on. He wrote about it in his book for cripes sakes.

It's not the sex, it's the wagging the finger in my face again. And Edwards pointing at McCain and saying "see he did it too" on ABC was just childish.

There will no doubt be "some people" here who will interpret this as support for McCain, I'm just saying that I don't see it as a winning issue.

11. I ate dinner last night with five other moderately involved Democrats...
...and they'd never heard about it. Not ONE knew about it. It blew my mind.

If they hadn't known of it, I don't think the general public ever will.

12. a collective yawn
These days you have to be soliciting sex in a public rest room or trying to lure young boys. Competition is too fierce for a regular, heterosexual affair to draw much interest. Especially an old story and where the guy married the girl. If Ronny Reagan can do it, why then it must be a-okay!

17. Not to mention that if the Democrats want to make an issue
about it the Repubs will just drag out the old Kerry and Kennedy failed marriages. Edwards brings back memories of Gary Hart and Monkey Business, and don't think Rove and co. won't slam back with it.

14. It happened years ago, and today he's an enfeebled old man, not a womanizing would-be stud
as he once imagined himself. It makes him harder to revile than a younger, attractive man guilty of doing the same thing.

It shouldn't be that way, but human nature tells me many people won't be able to work up as big a head of anger about it.

20. Reagan is both dead and old, but he's still the only President who was ever divorced
And it's an established fact that Ronnie was doing Nancy while he was still married to Jane. Which might account for some of Michael Reagan's pathological hatred. As for the depiction of Cindy as a "skank", I've heard Nancy was far worse. Rumor is she gave the best blowjob in Hollywood, at the time.

(Sorry for that visual!)

Why bring up ancient Republican sex lives? Because as usual with the 'Pukes, it's the hypocrisy. They're trying to tie Edwards' behavior to Obama, yet they won't tie McCain's behavior to McCain!
