So ABC and CBS "News" are now both editing their reports to favor McSame
and Fox is noting more than a GOP propaganda machine. Do you see any way out of this Big Media predicament that doesn't entail violence?

1. The answer is right in front of you
literally. People won't go there to get news they will go to the blogs/internet.

2. You know what we need but it's too late for this year is
another Ted Turner like billionaire that creates a new Media organization to blow these existing ones off of the radar...by making them irrelevant.

We also need to break up these massive media organizations, too much power in too few hands is destroying America.

My guess is that there are some Mme Defarges out there, and at some point not far down the line, Americans will be avidly looking for scapegoats to blame their economic devastation on....

4. we need a general strike - no work until some of these hacks have
been sent to prison. Right now our only "action" is complaining on DU. If we don't stop Big Media soon we'll end up like Nazi Germany.

6. Three Part Solution
First, volunteer in grass roots organizing efforts. Big Media is powerful, but it still is no substitute for approaching people you know, and discussing the issues. The RW has done this for the past decade through the exploitation of Evangelical Christians. The key is doing it in a respectful manner, and determining who really has an open mind.

Second, alternative media. Obama Girl and Paris Hilton's response ad were all youtube creations that took over the MSM hubbub. Can anyone come up with clever 20 second clips with humorous critiques of John McCain?

Third, continue to fight the good fight in the MSM. Of course, the deck is stacked against you, but you have to aggresively fight, respond, and get your message out.
