The movie "Swing Vote" made me proud to be involved with DU
Edited on Sat Aug-09-08 11:08 PM by Quixote1818
and trying to make change in our country. I saw a lot of every DUer in the little girl in the movie and how much she cared about people and making a difference. I highly recommend it! Many in the theater were in tears several times. It was also filmed here in New Mexico in the Albuquerque / Los Lunas area.

A big thumbs up!

1. Really?
You went and saw "Swing Vote"? Ehh. I do like Costner. Ehh. I might check it out at some point. Definitely not in the theater.

5. Hey, don't get me wrong
I love Costner. I'm one of the few people who liked Waterworld and The Postman. I'm actively rooting for Costner, I think he's great. But the trailers for this movie look really, really bad. I'm glad you like it, it means I probably will too. But I'm definitely going to wait until it comes to premium cable to watch it.

4. I saw it today.

I thought it was funny the way the candidates were pandering to him, how they completely flipped on the issues. That abortion commercial - ouch!

But the ending.... I let out a "NOWAY" when it ended. My bets are he went with the Democrat.

6. I think he went Dem too.
He was defending the Mexican workers at work even though he seemed to rip them in the media interview, he also seemed more in-line with letting gays and lesbians live their own lives, and he seemed very concerned about the poor.

8. I got a kick out of Tweety and Arianna Huffington in the movie and
it was GREAT to see Aaron Brown again.
