He's going to surprise everyone. It absolutely will not be Hillary or anyone high on the list of speculative candidates. Mark my word. Obama did two things with the Bill Clinton announcement, and both involved keeping the media guessing. Your opinions may vary, but Hillary is not going to be the VP. Sorry.

2. I would loathe the Repigs whining "Obama Bye!" at grassroots events...
Obama/Bayh would be a very stupid choice for a variety of reasons, namely that Bayh is boring and couldn't deliver Indiana anyway.

5. I would love to see a Governor in that role
Schweitzer, Sebelius, or my personal favorite, Bredesen. It almost makes too much sense to put a Governor in that role. We have a fine crop of them.

7. I don't think you can tell Obama who will and won't be his VP.
Any, I don't think it'll be Hillary. But it's my place to say it won't be her. Who knows. My moneys on Bayh or Kaine.

8. Hopefully it is Hil. Truth is no one has any clue.
Obama has done a great job at keeping his pick (if he's even decided yet) pretty close to his vest.

I still think we're in for a real surprise.

11. Chuck Todd reported that he has been told by the campaign "You won't be surprised" Hillary would be
a huge surprise They scheduled her to speak on Tuesday for a reason, it was the unofficial announcement that she is not the VP

19. We've been discussing Hillary being...
...the pick non-stop. How would that be a surprise. Most dems, not the DU minority, expect it.

15. Possibly, but I see a drawback
he was a huge McCain fan, supported him in 2000. At one point during this election cycle he said if Romney ran he might be tempted to vote for him. This may mean nothing today though.

16. I totally agree. Obama is head-faking the press. Chuck T. said he was told directly by the Obama
campaign that their pick would not be a surprise. Totally head-faking the press. It will not be one of the names floated. I trust Obama and am content to wait to hear the news from him.

24. I said something similar in another thread
People are getting their panties in a ruffle over the whole thing. Now that the Olympics have started, it's pretty much put coverage of the election on the back burner. I also think that those former Clinton supporters are going to be VERY disappointed when she is not picked as VP. Expect a rather large backlash.
