What's Your Ranking Of The Networks In Terms Of Anti-Democratic Bias?
Edited on Thu Aug-07-08 04:07 PM by Median Democrat
What is your ranking of the most anti-Democratic biased networks. Here's my ranking:

1. News Corp (Fox News) - No pretence of being impartial. Its either McCain is great, Obama sucks, or PUMA stories. For filler, they play and replay McCain ads for free as sort of political movie appreciation exercise where guests offer helpful tips with respect to how McCain can tweak and improve his commercials. Former GOP are constant guests, and members of PUMA are presented to "defend" the Democrats.

2. Disney (ABC) - Almost worse than Fox, because they kind of sneak up on you. But who can forget the Path to 9/11 Anti-Clinton Smear or the Anti-Obama smear regarding worse VPs, which listed Reverand Wright. Finally, who can forget the ABC blacklist memo listing corporate sponsors that wished to blacklist liberal shows.

3. CBS - Caught editting out McCain's gaffes during an interview.

4. CNN - Political discussions are often just talking point wars between partisans that leave you dummer for having listened. However, when the pundits are off the air, they can have substantive discussions. Plus, they tend to follow the herd in terms of repeating GOP talking points.

5. NBC - Generally does not really rock the boat, but KO alone almost makes them neutral. Almost. Otherwise, they also tend to follow the her with respect to RW talking points.

Anyone disagree on the order?

2. Only Question is 3 and 4
I'd probably agree though, it's just a tough pick.

6. Number 1 Is A Gimme
The laugher, of course, is the notion of liberal bias. Numbers 1 and 2 are very strongly biased against the Democrats. The rest are a little less obvious about it, but they do follow RW talking points without fail. For example, on cue, they all ran the story that Obama's successful trip to Europe was "presumptuous," which was followed by hours of coverage of the false story that Obama played basketball, rather than visit wounded troops. Then, they repeat the story of whether Obama is a celebrity. All of these are fluff issues, and you would think that a truly independent media would have some diversity of coverage beyond reading RW talking points. Instead, the level of coordination is incredible.

3. I'd probably have CNN ahead of CBS in terms of Repuke suckuppery
Although CBS is losing any objectivity they once had now that CIA puke Scott Pelley has taken over 60 Minutes.

7. CNN Has Some Good Shows When There Are No Pundits
For example, AC360 had a segment with Zareed and David Gergen that was actually intelligent and honest regarding the problems faced by the future Democratics president. I was amazed at hearing an educational and reasoned discussion of the issues. However, more often then not, they typically have a GOP spokesperson who is a hot blonde woman (are all Republican women, young blonde and hot?), who just smile and repeat McCain's talking points with remarkably little variation.

4. They're all on the McCain bandwagon
They try to make bad news out of Obama good news (some polls) and give McCain a free pass. Olbermann is obvious excluded from this bunch.

5. Overseas, we only get CNN, so I listen mostly to the BBC or the German media
I'm not in the States enough to know the rest, but I see enough
clips via Youtube to know about Fox, and even if I hadn't, I know
who Roger Ailes is, and that is enough. If someone tells me a reincarnated
Josef Göbbels is running a political comentary show, I don't need to see it
to know its main focus is not to promote the goals of the Jewish Defense League.
