Media Matters debunks this book page by page. This book is not fit to even be mentioned here at DU. it is garbage, and is about as factual as the National Enquirer, if that.
That's how I see it!

Summary: In its preface, Jerome Corsi compares his new book, The Obama Nation, to his 2004 book Unfit for Command. The comparison seems apt: Just as Unfit for Command contains false attacks on Sen. John Kerry's military service, a Media Matters review finds that The Obama Nation similarly contains numerous falsehoods about Sen. Barack Obama.

Media Matters previously documented false and baseless charges Corsi made in Obama Nation about Obama's positions on the Global Poverty Act of 2007 and nuclear weapons. Media Matters also pointed out false statements Corsi made while discussing the book with Fox News host Sean Hannity, concerning Obama's position on abortion and Obama's memoir Dreams From My Father (Crown, 1995).

I can't link to the sound file here because it's off-limits, but Corsi was on the Alex Jones show (they're ideological brothers) spouting off about microspheres and other trash. If Sean Hannity only knew who he was in bed with.... :D

4. I disagree Frenchie, and here's how..

I'd like to see someone draft up a Boycott/Petition that hundreds of thousands of people could sign with language that says, "I Pledge to REFUSE to purchase Anything published by Simon & Schuster as long as this character assassination of Obama graces any shelves in Any bookstore, corporate or otherwise, as this work is designed to discredit Obama in the run up to the Election, and contains Provable Falsehoods. Where is the 'I'm a Doddering, half Crazy Stupid Misogynist who the Media has Propped Up just like Bush' Tell All book about McCain's insane past that should be released in the interest of fairness to the American public if you are going to foist this drivel on us?

If I walk into a bookstore and there is a 'Billboard' facing the door and street with this negative and insulting tome I will walk out never to return.

I sign this as an American who expects the Truth and equal time for both candidates in the Media. Either get a book out there trashing McCain at the same time, or I will purchase books by other publishing houses Online from now on."

Something like that, get Media Matters involved, The Nation, tons of blogs..

Take the Pledge to NOT support this Mulch. I already know that Borders has lost ALL of my business since they are pushing this trash..
