oh crap... :(
It just hit me. The entire frigging world really IS watching this current slime crap.

Most Americans don't realize that the rest of the world doesn't have US State Media coverage. They have full coverage. That means they don't just take White House steno, they're showing what bushCartel are saying...and then showing all the other side of the story with all the facts.

Which means most of the rest of the entire world already knows (like they knew before we invaded that Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and no WMD and no ties to al Qaeda --why do rightwingnuts think no nation in the world had a population that was pro-war?-- that bush and his SBLs are in fact lying their arses off.

So the world KNOWS this, and they see polls still showing half this country supporting bush.

There's a reason the saying is "Americans are god-forsaken idiots" (and why only 2% in Egypt view us favorably)...it's our US State Media!

So this entire slime lying disgraceful charade is being watched by the entire world and it's DAMNED EMBARRASSING!!! But aside from that, how can bush deal with the world in any way when the entire world watches him pull this kind of disgraceful stunt???

Does he really think the rest of the world is ok with a thug bully-boy uncouth deceitful moron????!!

I can't take the shame...

Right now many people in the world like the American people and American culture (though there is a sizable number who do not). People can distinguish between the people and what their government does, which people all over the world hate, and the American people. Perhaps many citizens of the rest of the world cut the American people a break because they know that most Americans did not vote for George W. Bush, nor did he even legitimately win the election.

On the other hand, should Bush actually be elected by a vote of the people in a non-stolen election this November, that all changes. Then people of the world will not only hate the US government, they will also hate the American people.

Some conservatives may like that. They may like being hated like the New York Yankees when they travel to other cities. Not me, I'd like to see the US be a part of the community of nations once again. Indeed, we will not defeat the Al Qaeda terrorists unless we have international cooperation.

I'm afraid that you're right.I simply can't believe the amount of propaganda the American people is subjected to and the silliness of all that garbage.

4. Glass half full?
They also know that more than half of us are trying to kick these neo-feudalists the hell out.
That's gotta count for something!

I join you in your tears, from time to time, and it has been a long exile-- from election night frantically watching weird number shifts at the FLA county precincts online, to the packing of a cabinet of FOXES eying the low-lying fruit of our national treasures, to ignoring and indeed encouraging extremist blowback, Iraq con game, Abu-Grabby, and on and on...
I know the struggle will outlive us all.

But.

We pick ourselves up, dry those tears, and keep on marching.
Sometimes it is just like a party.
Please take comfort where you can, sweet sister of liberty!
