I think the House Republicans are giving the Democratic Party a HUGE GIFT
Edited on Mon Aug-04-08 03:41 PM by Skwmom
Imagine an ad...

While many of us are struggling to pay $4 for a gallon of gas and worried about our economic future, the House Republicans are working overtime in D.C. to lobby the American people on behalf of their good buddies, the oil companies.

As a lifetime oil man has pointed out, we cannot drill our way out of this crisis. And off shore drilling will provide NO RELIEF for Americans struggling to pay for the higher cost of gas, food, and other necessities because of the increase in oil prices.

Trying to take advantage of the American people by offering them gimmicks which do nothing more than benefit their oil company buddies is SHAMELESS. The American People deserve more than gimmicks from Washington. ... They deserve a President and Congress who will work overtime on behalf of the American People and not the rich special interests, who will lead the way to energy independence and fuel a new economy that will create jobs .....

I could be wrong, but I really think the Republicans have handed the Democratic Party a golden opportunity with this latest gimmick.

1. I think you need to get paid a commission for writing their next ad.
That was worded perfectly! And there is nothing there but the truth.

6. FANTASTIC!! This is what we should be doing rather than getting depressed and upset
Write, send emails, make calls. Demand that the Democrats contribute! Demand that McSame apologize for his despicable campaign tactics.

This is brilliant and I hope you send this idea to Obama.

Obama is now on the offense. Why not get on the offense with him?
