Swiftboat Operation II - Jerome Corsi Strikes Again...
Dr. Jerome Corsi is looking at another #1 NY Times bestseller in his new release, Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality. Corsi, who received his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard, is a prolific conservative author and columnist.

Outside of conservative political circles, Corsi is probably best known for his 2004 book (with John O'Neill) Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry written with the cooperation of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. You'll recall that that group, their ads and the book had some influence in derailing the candidacy of Democrat John Kerry in the last election. Most allegations in this earlier bestseller have been completely debunked.

Dr. Corsi looks to be trying his luck a second time. Obama Nation is one of two books released or soon to be released this month that take direct aim at Barack Obama's candidacy. The other, The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate by David Freddoso, will be released Tuesday. Both are attracting a lot of early attention.

From the publisher:
Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obamas personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obamas career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.

Here we go again.

And for anyone who is interested, Corsi is live on Alex Jones right now. You'll have to find it yourself as it is against DU rules to post links to Jones' sites.

happens to be on Jones' show right now. And he's claiming that Obama has been lying about not being a Muslim and that he used to smoke grass and snort cocaine while drinking alchohol and a bunch of other shit like Obama's mentor as a teen was a communist.

Says Obama is deeply involved in Kenyan politics and is an adviser and supporter of Odinga.

6. Obama supports abortions AFTER birth??? OMG
Summary: Jerome Corsi, author of the book, The Obama Nation, falsely claimed on Hannity's America that Sen. Barack Obama said, "Even if a child was born ... the woman still had the right to kill the child in an abortion." Corsi similarly falsely asserted on Hannity & Colmes that "fter a child's born, Obama ... in the state Senate, wanted the child killed if the mother desired an abortion," and on Sean Hannity's radio program, said that "Obama's on record as let's kill the baby if that's what the mother wants." In fact, Obama has never supported giving people the right to kill their children.

7. If people fall for this stuff again
they'll deserve what they get. Unfortunately that stinks for those of us who disagree with them, but that's the risk we have simply by living in this country. The best we can do at this point is to combat the lies where they exist and push our alternatives to the conservative agenda, but ultimately people are responsible for their own votes. And without knowing the degree or even the extent of the critical thinking skills of this populace ,I'm not going to go batty trying to pin more blame on sources other than the people who seekout, purchase books like these, ignore contrasting viewpoints then decide vote for these rethugs

8. Jerome Corsi? You mean this fine fellow?
from http://mediamatters.org/items/200408060010

* Corsi on Islam: "a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion"

* Corsi on Catholicism: "Boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press"

* Corsi on Muslims: "RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters -- it all goes together"

* Corsi on "John F*ing Commie Kerry": "After he married TerRAHsa, didn't John Kerry begin practicing Judiasm? He also has paternal grandparents that were Jewish. What religion is John Kerry?"

* Corsi on Senator "FAT HOG" Clinton: "Anybody ask why HELLary couldn't keep BJ Bill satisfied? Not lesbo or anything, is she?"
