If Morning Joe is any indication, the pubs are still on the "racist" thing,
altho they did play Obama's new ad and Pat B. said he thought it was good. But then they lapsed into replays of the last two McCain ads, britney/paris and The One. I thought when Bob Herbert came on there was hope. He did okay, Mika read some hard hitting stuff from his Sat. NYT piece but the Herbert lapsed into a tirade about the phallic symbols in the britney/paris ad. Now, I happen to agree with him on that point but he went on about it too long. He looked a little kooky after a while. Mercifully, they had Bob Gibbs on from Obama's campaign and he was refreshing and stuck to the issues, mainly energy and oil company profits.

Mika remains hopeless as usual. Plus, the read an email from an "African American" viewer who praised Jonathan Capehart as speaking for him (JC has been a regular critic of all things Obama lately). Boy, did I smell a planted email with that one!

The MJ crew is running out of gas quick. But we need to tell Herbert to stop with the race stuff now. He himself acknowledged that when the story is about race, Obama always loses...

2. I thought Herbert was brilliant.
He totally nailed them. Once he pointed out all those phallic symbols what he was saying became obvious. Though I have to say the first time I saw those ads I did not get it.

4. I did,...thought it was very obvious. Why did they keep showing that Victory tower?
Herbert was taken aback that ALL the others on the show professed complete ignorance that any such subliminal effects would be employed by Rovian McCain admongers. he lost his steam at that point, and I thought he looked lost.

it was a most shameful display by the pathetic cretins on that show. Joke S did make the obvious point that any time Obama spends talking about race is bad for him, if for no other reason it keeps him from talking about his own message, which is EXACTLY what you're DOING for the McCain campaign by focusing on this, rather than salient issues, along with spreading lie after lie for the McCain campaign

then, while going after the dem surrogate pretty hard, with followup after followup, they tossed a series of fawning softballs at Mitt Romney

last time I watch that horrorshow

5. oh my god, that's so funny about the "Jonathan Capehart speaks for me!" email.
Subtle, Morning Joe, lol.

Every email that criticizes them is from a cheeto eating basement dweller who plays dungeons and dragons, but emails that parrot the Morning Joe narrative are BRILLIANT, just brilliant.

6. Larry Kudlow added new lows to this morning's show.
Pretending he wanted off shore drilling to ease gas prices was laughable.
