Who Is John Kerry's "Karl Rove"?
Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 09:02 PM by The Nation
Clinton had James Carville, and we all know that Karl Rove is the political mastermind (and evil force) behind Bush's rise to power, as well as the former and current campaigns for president.

My question is, who is Kerry's "James Carville/Karl Rove"? His go to man or woman for all things political? Does he have one?

1. There is only one person as evil as Karl Rove.
Kerry would not let someone control him the way dubya does.

2. No single person fills Rove's role
but his brother Cameron is a close advisor.

3. If Karl Rove is such a genius, why is * president by a 5 to 4 SC vote?
Why couldn't they win outright?

5. Rove is an evil genius and Bush is an unelectable idiot.
They balance each other out nicely.

6. Important question
This is an important question that needs an answer: is there a carnivore with a plan behind the curtain? Sure hope so.

8. Yes, because the election of 2004 is NOT about defeating George Bush
...it's about defeating Karl Rove. Bush is just along for the ride.

10. Shrum
is not the genius. In fact, many operatives on the campaign think his influence should be limited. He makes good commercials, but can be a divisive force. Cahill is a very good operative. I don't think the campaign has a Carville just yet.

15. Clinton had Carville for the election
but Dick Morris was his political guru, before they had a falling out.

He had been with Clinton since he was Gov of Arkansas.

18. Kerry is the shrewd political strategist
He doesn't get the credit he deserves for the chess game he is playing.

Bush is playing checkers against Kerry.

20. Kerry's "go to guy"
His brother Cam; my brother worked for a company that had Cam Kerry on the board of Directors

Definitely Cam Kerry- but he's no Karl Rove-not evil or lying

He just has the most influence

21. I dont know if he has one
He has key people who are key but I dont think Kerry really has a Carville or Rove like figure, heh in a way he's just like his idol, John F. Kennedy, yes other than the Navy vet status, Massachuetts Liberal, same intials, etc, I believe that the fact that Kerry's most trusted advisor, his younger brother Cam is much how Bobby Kennedy was to Jack Kennedy.
