Poll question: Hoosiers who would make better VP's than Bayh
So many better choices, if we are going to pick a VP from Indiana. Salin is mine. Pick yours!

1. hahaha! The only way to get support for Bayh is to restrict to Indiana ppl - 'nuff said about Bayh.

3. Dennis Hopper's character in HOOSIERS. (And the ghost of Kurt Vonnegut, of course.)

4. I though of Vonnegut
And Eugene Debs, because after all, even dead people from Indiana would make a better choice than Bayh.

Bayh is a better Hoosier VP pick than Quayle, though, but that isn't saying much...

17. Vonnegut is an excellent choice
For us real old timers, we might consider James Whitcomb Riley.

6. It's an informal poll!
:P

Salin would be a brilliant choice. At least make her Education Secretary!

7. Bob Knight
I know he's really a Buckeye but it would be cool to see him throw a chair at McCain or rough him up a little.

10. Well, there's Birch Bayh and Andy Jacobs.
They're both pretty old (80 and 75) so they have plenty of experience to offer and they both have excellent legislative records.

11. LOL!
Sadly, for the benefit of the country and the world, I would have to decline. ;-) :hi:

I don't think he would gain enough by selecting Bayh.

Thing about Evan, is he is the whateverishot and goingtobepoliticallyexpedient guy. If progressivism becomes the new "in" - watch Evanemptysuit jump left. Seriously.

16. Sadly
Evan might be the pick. From an experience profile, and a centrist profile - I could see how the marketting team - er... VP Selection committee might seriously look at Bayh.

I never thought i would type that. You *know* I have long been a big Bayh detractor. But if he could help Obama prevent a third bushlike presidential term - I would jump on the band wagon. (looking down to make sure my fingernails aren't falling off for typing such an outrageously unsalin sort of sentiment.)
