When Barack Obama accepts the Democratic Party’s nomination for president Aug. 28, his speech at Invesco Field will be simulcast at the Boulder Theater.

Present Tense, a Boulder film and discussion group, announced Saturday that it will host the event.

Tickets for the 5 p.m. simulcast are $10, and are available at bouldertheater.com or the theater’s box office, 2032 14th St.

The plan for distribution of tickets to Invesco Field will be announced next week, but those who attend will be asked to participate in a phone bank for the candidate, officials have said.

The Boulder Theater party will include family seating in the main theater and balcony access for up to 200 people 18 or older. A cash bar and food sales will be available.

Organizers said in a posting at barackobama.com that the event will also feature a moderated discussion on politics and voter-registration booths.

1. Not sure I like them charging for it, but at least it's cheap....
And it's definitely good that the crowd will be even bigger.

7. well a few have popped up
