Obama is going to win, right? Calm me down!
I've had awful visions of Grampa Munster taking the oath of office on Jan. 20, 2009. The polls are so close but in our favor, yet we should be much farther ahead.

We're not really going to blow this election, are we? I sense that Obama needs to more agressive in responding to the McSame campaign's attacks.

2. Piece of senile shit McInsane will win a free ride back to the senate.....
as long as we, the grassroots start fighting the media. That means doing more than just sitting here at DU and typing about our frustration and anger.

I am writing letters now.

I am very irate at this nation's media. It sucks shit.

7. I'm afraid the media is giving Grampa a free pass
Their coverage of Barack is far more negative.

6. I Always Try to Remember - We've Got The Kids
and they ain't counting the kids with their cell phones and this time they will show up and vote in droves.

Estimates are there's at least 2% more out there that aren't being counted.

8. You know how the super-competent person at work is hated?
It's the same with presidents. After Obama showed how well he can comport himself with foreign leaders, while McCain was looking more and more like a dud, Obama's percentage fell, and McCain's rose. There is a frighteningly endemic perversity in Americans, who hate intelligent, capable people so much that they'd throw the country down the toilet out of pathological spite.

9. You want to have a realistic view? Step #1 - unplug cable.
Step #2 - contact the O campaign in your community and start volunteering and registering voters. The ground war and not the air war is where Obama is going to win this election.

Do your part and let Obama do his and we can all celebrate come January.

11. this line from the Jonathan Alter article helped calm me down.
The president (W) would have likely won anyway by playing on post-9/11 fear.

He was talking about the Switfboating and how this is not 2004.

If that's true, what does McCain have? He lost the war as an issue when Iraq told us to follow Obama's time table. Obama is taking off shore drilling off the table so McCain can't say "he won't do anything about high gas prices". All he's got is this negative shit and it is pissing off several members of the media. They used to think McCain was honorable, they loved him for standing up to the GOP and treated him like the honorable, happy warrior. They are seeing his true colors.

One of my senators is republican but mild mannered and not awful. He hates McCain's guts. I'm sure he won't say anything publicly, that's not the kind of guy he is and not the kind of party he belongs to. He doesn't go into detail (at least with my sources who are banking people) as to why he hates McCain but I think its temperamental. McCain is a freaking hot head who has pissed off more members of his party in the Senate than anyone else.
