6. My only personal glimpse

into the minds of the people who buy this crap is my rw cousin in law. She forwards me all kinds of anti-Obama crap and has been since the slime machine began putting out those viral emails. Even when I've provided links to the truth she won't believe it.

"All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest" describes the mindset of these folks perfectly.

7. My wife has a friend

who says that Obama will steal all our freedoms and that if he wins, she'll stop taking her heart meds so that she'll die.

Pointing out that Bush has stolen our freedoms, etc., has no effect at all. Similar to your relative.
