i feel sad
i wanted to post a poll that asked a few questions about senator clintons role at the convention.
i feel she should be named and voted on if for no reason than the historical signifigance.
but i couldnt find a way to post the questions that wouldnt start another round of clinton bash.

i myself am no fan of the clintons in this election and have made no bones about it
until this year i had a certain grudging respect for them both
both are hard working, determined, and successful democrats
we dont often go 3 for 3 around the party
ive been trying to rebuild my respect for both of them by not commenting on obvious attempts here to continue a flamefest

for the record i myself feel mrs clintons name should be entered into the vote and she should be a keynote speaker
we got caught with a wealth of firsts and i would enjoy seeing the first serious woman candidate recognized
i have a daughter who thinks it would be a great thing even tho she didnt win

1. Well, she IS a keynote speaker and probabely WILL have her name
entered into nomination. I read today that the NY Daily News story that she did not want her name entered into nomination was denied by her. I agree that she should be given that honor but ultimately it is up to her.

5. drat. now i feel like a fool for believing that report.
I hadn't heard that that report was false, and was all gushing earlier today about how gracious Hillary's being,
and praising her good sense for asking that her name not be entered into nomination. oh well.

3. don't be sad, swampg8r....
Be happy to have a thoughtful daughter...

Things are looking up, slowly, for the Clinton presence in Denver.

Have a great weekend!

6. its a little disheartening
to continue to see all the clinton trash here
if you try to defend the nominee your a bad guy and if you say ANYTHING about the clintons same thing

im the husband of a totally self realized american feminist woman
she never let anything keep her from what she wants and she taught our daughter to be the same way by her example

if i could have one wish it would be that clinton posts were not allowed in this forum
they always degenerate into ugliness

no wait

first i would wish for more wishes then it would be that clinton posts were not allowed in this forum
and a million dollars tax free

8. It's true...
If there's mention of either of them in the subject line, forget about it.

And if it comes up downthread, forget about it.

And it's the same members jumping in on both sides, it seems.

I'll admit that I've been baited to participate in these myself, but the fact is that we all have to live with one another, at least through November.

So, go ahead and post a poll if you like, or not.

But if you do, then put yourself on ignore and go fishing.

Bring your wife and daughter, if they like going out.

4. Hillary will be delivering the keynote speech ...
... on August 26, the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote.

Who better to make that speech, and what better speech for your daughter to hear?

10. I hadn't made the connection to the 19th Amendment anniversary.
How fantastic is that?!

19th amendment AND "I have a dream".

WOW

:applause:

Thanks NanceGreggs, and thanks for another great post earlier this evening.
