I am not a Jew but I find it deeply offensive to inject Moses into a political ad. Especially since in the previous ad Obama was compared to other celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

So does McCain believe Moses, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears are in the same league now?

I really dont get the point about mocking Obama using Moses anyway. So because Obama is not Moses he can not be a leader?

2. I can see the debate now:
McCain: "Moses was a close friend of mine and, let me tell you, you're no Moses."

6. Obama never claimed to be Moses
McCain is no Moses either. Does that mean he is not fit to lead this country?

I really dont get the point on this one.

8. I was just making a joke about McCain's age.

As for his Moses comment, it was consistent with just about everything he says in the sense it had no point. He's got no drive, no ability, no ideas, nothing. He is, in every sense, pointless.

7. I'm not exactly offended, but I think it's dumber than crap--I mean, Moses WAS a
damn good leader--and then they flat-out state that the ad is about Obama leadership skills?

9. Moses was no Paris Hilton or Britney Spears. McCain should not even go there.
The man has no shame. He is now using sacred religous figures in his dumb political ads.

10. Apparently not ...
Edited on Sat Aug-02-08 12:04 AM by RoyGBiv
But I don't find it offensive at all. Why would I? Why would using a biblical character for a commercial be offensive?

Stupid? Well, using him the way McCain's campaign did, yeah, it's stupid.

But, it's not offensive.

For those claiming it is offensive, please explain it to me.
