John McCain, as of today, IS Nora Desmond in "Sunset Boulevard"...
...and believe me, soon enough, NOBODY will want to be his Joe Gillis.

On Rachel Maddow, I heard that the GOP is warning Repug congressional candidates who are up for re-election to stay the hell away from Minneapolis.

Of course, the official line is that they could better spend time and resources on the campaign trail.

However, the subtext reads "John McCain is a has-been, a crazy old cantankerous bastard whose best years and usefulness to us are ancient history. Being seen within a country mile of him is tantamount to hitching your caboose to a train that is already in the process of derailing. Save yourselves while you can."

So, I wonder who's going to end up in the swimming pool?

5. Is that a serious question? Because their ratings-driven profit depends on it.
Try to remember that we don't have "news" anymore. We have info-tainment.

9. He's still big, it's the politics that got small? (In his own mind).
I kind of see that. Good insight.
